Itinerary

Day 1

Bagdogra – Phuntsholing

Tour guests will arrive at Bagdogra Airport according to their respective flight schedules. Upon arrival, the tripsntrekstravels Manager will receive them at the airport, assist with airport formalities, and accompany them to Phuntsholing – the gateway to Bhutan. Guests opting for the Joining and Leaving (J&L) option will join the group directly at the first destination, based on the details and instructions provided by their Veena World travel consultant. J&L guests are advised to book their round-trip air tickets in accordance with the scheduled tour flight timings to avail of group airport transfers. If they arrive earlier or depart before the scheduled time, the cost of transfers to or from the designated location or hotel will be at their own expense. On arrival, we will make a brief photo stop at Zangto Pelri – a Buddhist monastery and a stunning example of Bhutan's ancient architectural style.
Day 2

Phuntsholing – Thimphu

Today, we head to Thimphu, the capital city of Bhutan. On the way, we visit Kharbandi Gompa, a monastery built by the Royal Grandmother as her winter retreat. Upon reaching Thimphu, we explore the BBS Clock Tower and the impressive Tashichho Dzong. In the evening, enjoy some free time at the local market.
Day 3

Thimphu

Today, we set out to explore the city of Thimphu. Our sightseeing begins with a visit to the Royal Takin Preserve, home to the ‘Takin’—Bhutan’s national animal—followed by stops at the grand Buddha Dordenma Statue and the serene Standing Buddha Park. We then visit the National Library and the Handicraft Center. Later, we experience Simply Bhutan, an interactive living museum that offers a fascinating glimpse into traditional Bhutanese life and culture.
Day 4

Thimphu – Punakha

Today, we visit Dochula Pass, home to the 108 Memorial Chortens, also known as Druk Wangyal Chortens. From there, we descend into the scenic Punakha Valley. Our journey continues with a visit to Chimi Lhakhang, popularly known as the Temple of Fertility, followed by a photo stop at the iconic Punakha Suspension Bridge, also referred to as the Iron Bridge. Later, we enjoy an exciting white water rafting adventure on the Punakha River.
Day 5

Punakha – Paro

Today, we begin with a visit to the renowned Punakha Dzong, the second oldest and second largest fortress in Bhutan. Afterward, we continue our journey to Paro, once again passing through the scenic Dochula Pass. En route, we stop at the Lamperi Botanical Garden—Bhutan’s first botanical park—known for its rich biodiversity. Upon reaching Paro, we visit a traditional Bhutanese brewery, where we’ll take a guided tour to learn about the brewing process. The visit concludes with a tasting session featuring a variety of locally brewed beers.
Day 6

Paro – Chele La Pass – Paro

Today, we journey to Chele-la Pass, the highest motorable pass in western Bhutan, nestled between the scenic Haa Valley and Paro Valley. We then visit Ta Dzong, also known as the National Museum, followed by Paro Dzong—a grand fortress that also serves as a Buddhist monastery. In the evening, we immerse ourselves in Bhutanese culture by enjoying a traditional cultural performance. Please Note: Chele-la Pass is located at a high altitude, which may present difficulties for guests with certain health conditions. If you have any pre-existing medical concerns, we strongly advise consulting your doctor prior to the visit to ensure a safe and comfortable experience.
Day 7

Paro – Taktshang Monastery – Paro

Today, we visit the iconic Taktshang Monastery, widely known as the Tiger’s Nest Monastery. Perched dramatically on a cliff at an altitude of 3,120 meters, it is one of the most treasured landmarks of the Paro Valley. The round-trip trek from Paro town covers approximately 12 kilometers and offers breathtaking views along the way. After returning from the monastery, we head to the viewpoint of Drukgyel Dzong, also known as the Victory Fortress. In the evening, enjoy some free time to explore and shop at the local market.
Day 8

Paro – Phuntsholing – Siliguri

Today we proceed to Siliguri via Phuntsholing. Enroute we take a photo stop at Tamcho Iron bridge near Pa Chhu. In the evening we arrive at Siliguri.
Day 9

Siliguri – Departure from Bagdogra

Until then, take care and see you soon! Tour guests will proceed to the airport as per their scheduled group flight departure. Joining and Leaving (J&L) guests will exit the tour after the official program concludes. Those with matching flight timings and airport as the group can avail the group airport transfers. However, if their departure details differ, any additional transfer costs to their respective airport, cruise, rail, or bus terminal will be at their own expense.
